TO BE DESTROYED by PATH

This 106 Acres of Land in Barbour County Has Been in My Family for 200 Years.  My ancestors settled the land and farmed it. They cleared the meadows by hand.  The original barn remains on the property to this day.

My Family Home Soon to be Under Proposed PATH Route.  Proposed Route is 1000 feet from home.  PATH wants the right-of-way 1,100 feet on either side of the proposed route.  My house falls within this.  If the West Virginia Public Service Commission approves this, they could literally take our house.

My family is not rich.  My family has cared for this land for centuries and PATH will destroy it, the wildlife, the scenic beauty, and the safety of my home.  My father is 62 and grooms these meadows on his own every year.  As a child I can honestly say I had my hands in the earth.

We are just one family.  Everyone is affected. Every family has a story.  In West Virginia, land is blood.  This PATH route hits people before my family's property and runs through properties after it.  PATH will run from Putnam County to Hampshire.  See "proposed PATH route" in the menu bar.
